Thrill seeking at Winter Park

Like Father, Like Son and Daughter!

The weekend after returning from Iowa Kevin decided to try a little Mountain Bike racing. You will have to ask him how that turned out, lets just say that he will probably want to get in a little more training before trying to race again!

After the race, the kids and I drove up to meet him in Winter Park and check out some of the summer activities on the mountain. There is an Alpine Slide that goes down part of one ski run and then small bungee jumping, rock climbing and putt-putt golf. The kids wanted to try most of it, even if Mom thought they might be a little too small for some things. Eric and Anna both wanted to do the bungee jumping. They waited patiently in line for their turn, got suited up and then got on a trampoline and had their harness attached to the lines above. Check out the pictures. Eric was too light to really make it work, so the guy watching him gave him some help. He was jumping really high! Anna had the same problem, but she didn't get as much height as Eric, although she did get some help in turning a flip. Here are some pictures of the kids....
