Anna is on the far left in this first picture and she is the girl twirling her pony-tail in the next two. She just has to hang back and take everything in when in a new situation. She does say she is having fun and wants to go each week. She is also taking swim lessons and REALLY likes those. She is learning actual strokes and will be moving up to the next level next month.

Soccer anyone?
Anna has some friends who play soccer and she wanted to give it a try. Kevin and I were a little hesitant to make the financial and time commitment to put her on a team given her personality when it comes to performing in front of crowds. Fortunately, we found a great solution! Our friends the Mahonys told us about a little group they play with and said we could join them. Mr. Mahony and a friend of his decided last year to try and put together a group of 4-5 year old girls to practice and then scrimmage each Saturday rather than put these young girls in league soccer. We meet on Saturday mornings and the girls practice for 30 minutes and then play each other in a game for 30 minutes. Anna practices well and seems to like it, but she is still a little unsure of what to do, so she hangs back and just watches during the game. Her are some photos of our first practice and game.
